About Us

Introduction

Cymdeithas Tai Eryri is a successful social enterprise which has operated across Gwynedd and Ynys Môn for over 30 years. Established in 1978 we are a charitable Industrial & Provident Society registered with the Financial Services Authority and a Social Landlord and Accredited Support Provider registered with the Welsh Assembly Government. We provide affordable housing in response to local needs, offer support to vulnerable people and seek to reduce social disadvantage while contributing to community regeneration and sustaining the Welsh language.

Local individuals and groups are encouraged to join the Assocation so that we can be an accountable and representative organisation.

We operate for the benefit of the community and people in need by:

• Providing affordable housing, specialist housing for older people and accommodation for a range of client groups with support needs;
• Directly providing support services to vulnerable tenants, homeless people and victims of domestic violence;
• Enabling people to acquire a suitable home with the help of a shared equity loan;
• Facilitating and supporting a number of community regeneration initiatives;
• Managing the local Care & Repair agencies which assist older people and people wth disabilities;
• Close collaboration with the local authorities, other social enterprise organisations, community groups, the private sector and Welsh Assembly Government.
