About the Board
The Board of Management of the Association is comprised of eight
general members (shareholders), five tenant members and two
local authority representatives. The general members are elected
at the annual general meeting, the tenant members are elected by
our tenants and the local authority representatives nominated by
Gwynedd Council and the Isle of Anglesey County Council. Until
July 2007 the Board of Management met five times a year and an
Operations Committee and Resources Committee every three months.
We have now introduced new arrangements whereby the Board of
Management meets more often (seven meetings are scheduled for
2008) and a Scrutiny Committee every three months.
Powers in respect of the following functions have been
delegated to the Scrutiny Committee:
- Housing Services: the performance measurement
framework; national and local performance indicators; progress
against service improvement plans; official complaints; bad
debts.
- Finance: the financial management framework;
management accounts and treasury management; management
accounts of supported housing projects; management and annual
accounts of our subsidiaries.
- Human Resources: human resources framework; health
and safety; staff training and development.
- Internal Audit: internal audit framework; internal
audit plan; audit reports and progress against
recommendations.
